VOTING ABSENTEE FOR APRIL 7, 2020 ELECTION RECOMMENDED

Election Information ** ELECTION UPDATE IN RESPONSE TO COVID-19 ** Due to concerns related to the COVID-19, voters in Kewaunee County are strongly urged to vote absentee for the April 7 Spring Election and Presidential Preference Primary. So far, polls will be open in the Town of Lincoln for those who need them on Election Day, but voters are encouraged to vote absentee by requesting an absentee ballot as soon as possible. You can request an absentee ballot online at https://myvote.wi.gov/en-us/VoteAbsentee or in writing by contacting the Town of Lincoln Clerk by email @ [email protected] or at: N9275 County Road P, Algoma, WI 54201. Call 920.366.3640 w/ questions. The deadline to register online for the April 7, 2020 election has now been pushed out to March 30, 2020. After 3.30.20, you will need to register in person or at the polling place on election day. Also, please note that if your name or address has changed since the last election, you will need to register with your current information. The WEC strongly recommends that anyone planning to vote should request to have an absentee ballot mailed to them as soon as possible. • You must be registered to vote to request an absentee ballot. • The deadline to register by mail to vote has passed. • The deadline to register online to vote has been extended by federal court order until March 30. The WEC is working to reinstate online registration in the next few days. • Voters who need to register may also do so in person at their municipal clerk’s office until the Friday before the election and on Election Day at the polling place. • Voters should request an absentee ballot as soon as possible for April 7.
